Mini Maypoles for the Bealtane Altar from Bealtane in Australia 2017 - ☽ ✧ - Δ - ✧ ☾ - The Maypole is a much loved center-point of Bealtane celebrations, and a miniature can be made quite easy enough. To sit on the Altar or even the dining table to set a May dinner. Ribbons can be used, but alas I only had spare cotton yarn on hand, as per the previously made mini windsocks. Using Red and White to represent the blood from the goddess and the semen of the god (I know bit icky :) for symbolism of life being created in mother earth. A larger version can also be made with a dowel and terracotta pot filled with soil (Something I will be doing for next year to place in the garden) With charms like these, I do recommend consecrating them with incense smoke and intent before putting up. Please refer to the Bealtane altar links for more visuals, at the end of this post (will be posted before tonight's end). from Chapter 'charms' What I used;
